Want maximum privacy and a real writing desk? Book the Studio. Dream of canvas walls but refuse to walk to a shared bathroom at midnight? The Deluxe Tent with Bathroom was built for exactly that. Solo travelers and slow thinkers tend toward the Lotus. And if your budget is tight but your appetite for adventure is not, our classic Tents put you closest to the forest for the least money.

The Studio: a room that understands quiet

The Studio is the most conventional of our stays, on purpose. Twenty-eight square meters, a king bed dressed in mountain-weight linen, an ensuite rain shower, and a private terrace looking out over the valley where morning mist gathers like a held breath.

What guests remember, though, is the desk. Solid wood, at the window, fibre WiFi humming quietly at fifty megabits. Novelists have finished chapters here. Founders have taken board calls with birdsong in the background and nobody on the other end any wiser.

Best for couples marking an anniversary, remote workers who need genuine focus, and anyone whose ideal evening is a book and a valley view.

One honest caveat: if you came to Bali to feel canvas above your head, this is not that. The Studio is a room, and a very good one, but it is a room.

The Deluxe Tent with Bathroom: glamping without the asterisk

Most glamping listings hide an asterisk. The bathroom is a walk away, the mattress is an inflatable apology, the tent bakes by ten in the morning. Our Deluxe Tent removes those asterisks one at a time.

The canvas structure sits on a raised wooden deck facing the valley. Inside there is a proper queen mattress, warm bedding for mountain nights, and reading lights that do not attract every insect in Buleleng. Behind a private door, the part guests photograph, sits a full ensuite bathroom with hot water and a flushing toilet.

The Lotus: for travelers who come alone on purpose

The Lotus is harder to categorize, which is exactly why certain guests fall for it. It is a nature-integrated space, smaller and quieter, tucked toward the forest edge where the property softens into jungle.

Writers request it by name. So do yoga teachers decompressing after leading retreats, and travelers on the kind of solo trip that is running toward something rather than away from it.

Best for solo travelers, creatives mid-project, and minimalists who measure luxury in silence rather than square meters.

The classic Tents: the purest version of the idea

Before Desa Eko had a restaurant or a yoga deck, it had tents in a forest clearing. The classic Tents keep that original spirit: simple canvas shelters, shared bathroom facilities a short walk away, and the smallest gap between you and the sounds of the mountain.

They are also our most affordable stay, which makes them the honest choice for younger travelers, groups of friends, and anyone who would rather spend their budget on waterfall treks and long dinners at The Botanist.

Best for adventurers, groups, and travelers who know that the best stories rarely start in a suite.

What every stay shares

Whichever door, or zipper, you choose, some things stay constant. Breakfast at The Botanist, cooked from our garden, is included. So is daily yoga on the open-air deck, access to the guest-only Golden Valley waterfall trail, and drinking water refills that have kept roughly forty thousand plastic bottles out of Bali's waste stream since we stopped selling them.

Do any rooms have air conditioning?

None, and none need it. Munduk sits at roughly 1,000 meters, where nights cool to 18°C year-round. You will reach for the duvet, not the remote.

Are the stays pet-friendly?

Small dogs are welcome with advance notice. Tell us when you book.

Which stay is best for remote work?

The Studio. It has the dedicated desk, the strongest WiFi position, and walls for when a call needs to sound professional.
